Tri-Magnesium is a very absorbable magnesium blend that supports many functions in the body including cellular metabolism. Magnesium is part of hundreds of enzymatic processes in our bodies and is important for proper function of bones and muscles, especially the heart. This important mineral plays a role in immune function and carbohydrate metabolism as well. Although magnesium is essential for human health, it is estimated at more half of Americans are deficient in it.
Tri-Magnesium includes forms of magnesium that are used in the citric acid cycle, (Krebs cycle), a series of enzymatic reactions that produce energy (in the form of ATP) for our cells. This makes highly absorbable magnesium malate an excellent choice for people bothered by fatigue or fibromyalgia because malic acid is used for ATP synthesis and energy production. Magnesium citrate is another very easily absorbed form that is also used in the Krebs cycle. It can be useful for calcium precipitation in the urine and for kidney health. It can have mild laxative effects that make it useful for treating constipation.
In addition, Tri-Magnesium also contains magnesium oxide, which can be used for heartburn and also has laxative capability.
Because it contains three different forms of magnesium, Tri-Magnesium helps to ensure the best bioavailability.
